Welcome to the employment page of Jerry’s Cherries located at Fairview Orchard in Roxburgh.

Here at Fairview Orchard we are working year round to provide locals, holiday-goers and those around the world with top quality stone fruit and pipfruit.

Our thinning season generally starts in October and runs through to November; thinning may be ground, ladder and hydralada work so a good sense of fitness is required.

Our picking season kicks off late November / early December where we get right into picking cherries, then by January we are onto apricots, peaches, nectarines and plums which get us through to March / April when our apple season starts.

Picking involves carefully and efficiently picking fruits into buckets, bags and bins. We need staff that are fast, diligent and dedicated to our seasonal requirements; this can include working around cold mornings and hot afternoons. You will generally need to be available 7 days a week as the fruit doesn’t know the difference between a weekday and a weekend!
